Development of an Action Plan for the implementation of the National Agricultural Residues Management Strategy

The main aim of this project is to develop an action plan for the National Agriculture Residues Management Strategy in order to implement the strategy through detailed programs and projects to be implemented on ground. The action planning process involves operationalizing the main and secondary strategic objectives of the strategy.

The main elements through which the strategic objectives of the strategy will be implemented are:

(1)           Institutional development;

(2)           Technical and financial support;

(3)           Infrastructure;

(4)           Community awareness; and

(5)           Monitoring and evaluation.

The strategy defines specific tasks for each of these elements in addition to targets and expected outputs. The action plan will illustrate how these tasks will be done through activities to be followed, timeframe, organizational units involved, estimated resources needed, relation to other activities, expected outputs of each activity, and corresponding performance indicators.
