Provision of services related to developing a pilot analysis and feasibility studies for five pilot sites in Lebanon

The project conducts feasibility studies for five circular economy pilots in the dairy sector and provides training on circular economy practices in Lebanon.

The selected pilot interventions include:

  1. Heat Recovery – Capturing and reusing excess heat from dairy processing.
  2. Whey Valorization into Ricotta – Transforming whey by-products into ricotta cheese.
  3. Whey Valorization into Probiotic Drinks – Developing dairy-based probiotic beverages.
  4. Sustainable Packaging for Dairy Sector – Eco-friendly and recyclable dairy packaging solutions.
  5. Tethered Caps – Enhancing recyclability of dairy product packaging

The scope of work includes

  • Deliver circular economy training
  • Develop feasibility studies and pilot analyses for five circular economy interventions
  • Design circular economy business models
  • Conduct financial and impact analyses
  • Conduct equipment-related technical feasibility studies
  • Identify consulting needs for implementation
