The Integrated Water Solutions Support (IWSS) project aims to support the Government of Egypt (GOE) in strengthening the country’s water security. In the long term, the project seeks to contribute to improved health outcomes, particularly by reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases such as diarrheal infections, cholera, and potentially typhoid.
The IWSS project will prioritize expanding access to safe drinking water and sanitation services for approximately 1 million people living in rural areas with the highest levels of poverty and economic marginalization, including the governorates of Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Minya.
