Customized Business Support to SMEs in Qalyoubia and Menoufia, Egypt

The objective of this assignment is to “Designing and delivering programs for a) customized business support to youth led ventures and b) building capacity of local business support institutions”, in addition, c) “through the empirical evidence gathered through implementation of the two-track program should contribute to the elaboration of an evidence-based approach for local entrepreneurship development in migration-prone areas, which will, hopefully, be pursued further by the local government”.

• Design and deliver customized business support programme for some 20-25 ventures, preferably led by youth, to grow faster, create new jobs and leverage new investment and be role models for the youth (economic security and environmental security)
• Design and deliver customized capacity building programme for some 10-15 local business enablers (that is, stakeholder institutions) to promote local entrepreneurship development
• Re-assess the business opportunities identified by the client taking into consideration COVID-19 impact on economies
• Disseminate business opportunities to promote investments
• Enhance market linkages and market access of supported ventures and others in sectors of focus

Conduct evidence-based analysis and policy recommendation addressing the identified priority areas of improvement to support local business development
